Training is based on the Compton PESL (Pronouncing English as a Second Language) program - a structured, research-based approach designed specifically for adult English learners who want to improve their ability to be understood in spoken English.

The program was developed at the Institute of Language and Phonology, based on studies of hundreds of learners from over 100 language backgrounds. It is grounded in linguistic research and decades of teaching experience, ensuring a systematic and proven approach to accent modification.

How It Works

1. Assessment and Analysis: Your current pronunciation is evaluated to identify which sounds, stress patterns, or intonation features are most important to target.

2. Customized Instruction: A personalized program is created based on your unique accent patterns, so you work efficiently on what will make the biggest difference.

3. Practice and Feedback: Focused exercises and guided practice, with immediate feedback, help you develop accurate pronunciation and monitor progress.

4. Technology Support: A web-based platform allows you to practice anywhere independently and reinforce what you learn in sessions
