Discovery Call
A free phone call is a great way to discuss the communication challenges you or your loved one may be experiencing. This conversation will help determine whether a formal assessment is recommended and outline the next steps. This is a no-obligation opportunity to ask questions and learn how speech and language therapy may help.
Assessment
An assessment, which may include standardized tests, informal observations, and an interview, is completed to understand a person’s unique communication strengths and challenges. Then, a brief overview of findings will be provided along with personalized recommendations for therapy or other support options.
Personalized Therapy
Treatment is tailored to each individual’s unique needs. Using evidence-based practices, sessions are designed to be engaging and goal-oriented. Collaboration with clients and their circle of care is key to providing support, education, and practical techniques that can be applied in everyday situations, helping to build confidence and lasting skills.

A little about me…
Christine Massinon, RSLP, MSc. SLP (C)
Growing up on a farm in rural Manitoba, I developed a deep appreciation for the power of communication in connecting with people.
In close-knit communities, relationships are built on strong bonds, where clear and meaningful communication is essential for daily life. Whether it’s working together to run a family farm, relying on neighbours for support, or participating in community events, effective communication is at the heart of collaboration and problem-solving.
Spending many years living in a city has also exposed me to diverse populations, languages, and communication styles, emphasizing the importance of adaptive communication. The availability of specialized services and interdisciplinary collaboration has further deepened my understanding of different approaches to supporting communication needs.

Absolutely. In Manitoba, we have a range of publicly funded SLP services for children and adults that are available for free. I’m happy to assist you with a referral to add you or your loved one to a public wait list.
There are a number of reasons why some people choose to seek private SLP services instead of, or in addition to, public services. What is important is that the SLPs work together to provide consistent care.
