Discovery Call

A free phone call is a great way to discuss the communication challenges you or your loved one may be experiencing. This conversation will help determine whether a formal assessment is recommended and outline the next steps. This is a no-obligation opportunity to ask questions and learn how speech and language therapy may help.

Assessment

An assessment, which may include standardized tests, informal observations, and an interview, is completed to understand a person’s unique communication strengths and challenges. Then, a brief overview of findings will be provided along with personalized recommendations for therapy or other support options.

Personalized Therapy

Treatment is tailored to each individual’s unique needs. Using evidence-based practices, sessions are designed to be engaging and goal-oriented. Collaboration with clients and their circle of care is key to providing support, education, and practical techniques that can be applied in everyday situations, helping to build confidence and lasting skills.

A little about me…

Hello! My name is Christine and I am the owner of Second Nature Speech & Language. I love working with people of all ages and appreciate the diversity that being an SLP brings. I’m a lifelong learner and genuinely enjoy taking courses and learning new approaches. I'm always looking for ways to provide the best, evidence-based care possible.

Growing up on a farm in rural Manitoba taught me the value of strong relationships and the important role communication plays in bringing people together. Since then, I've also spent many years living and working in the city, where I've had the opportunity to meet people from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures, and languages.

These experiences have shown me that communication looks different for everyone and have strengthened my appreciation for adapting my approach to meet each person's unique needs. I work with children, teens, and adults in areas including speech and language delays, brain injury, cognitive-communication disorders, stuttering, social communication, voice therapy, and accent modification. No matter who I'm working with, my goal is always the same: to help people communicate with confidence while still feeling like themselves.
